The JRAT speaks candidly, frankly, and unapologetically about the contentions of making and wearing clothing in a society where the foundation of the fashion industry is rooted in the exploitation of human labor and the degradation of the natural world. The topics breached and conversations spurred here will likely be challenging and/or uncomfortable at times, but the hope is for a rewarding outcome, as the sole purpose of this discourse is to find a mutual space of affirmation as opposed to prescription, when it comes to the how, why, when, and where behind our individual means of obtaining, managing, and wearing of clothes.
